KAINA A.
Founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) KainaCorp Design-Build (Canada & Thailand Division)
&
Co-Founder & CEO – Ying Ao Sauce & Grill | Ying Ao Mookrata

Kaina A. is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of KainaCorp Design-Build (Canada & Thailand Division) and the Co-Founder & CEO of Ying Ao Sauce & Grill | Ying Ao Mookrata. He is an internationally experienced construction and operations leader with a career built from hands-on field execution through to executive-level delivery of complex projects across Canada, the United States, Qatar, and Thailand. With a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Université de Moncton (Canada) and extensive industry certifications, Kaina is known for his rare combination of technical construction leadership, high-pressure execution capability, and entrepreneurial business strategy.

Kaina’s foundation was shaped in Fort McMurray, Alberta — one of North America’s toughest industrial environments — where he worked in oil sands mega-projects under extreme conditions and strict safety and production standards. Over time, he progressed through roles including operations leadership, site supervision, training & development management, and project management, gaining deep experience in workforce leadership, productivity, scheduling, cost control, and operational excellence. He later expanded into international EPC project environments in Qatar during the FIFA 2022 construction boom, where projects demanded strict documentation, compliance, multi-stakeholder coordination, and high standards of professionalism.

In Vancouver, Canada, Kaina built a strong reputation delivering major commercial tenant improvement (TI) and institutional projects in demanding downtown environments — including fast-track banking renovations and multi-floor corporate office builds. His portfolio includes high-profile work such as WeWork developments (555 Burrard & 333 Seymour), Zurich Insurance HQ (200 Granville), Nicola Wealth HQ, AME/Entuitive, Cadillac Fairview sites, and other complex downtown projects requiring careful logistics, night work planning, high coordination of multiple trades, and strict quality control.

More recently, KainaCorp was contracted in the U.S. to manage a large-scale food processing plant construction and equipment integration project for NuProduce / Gordon Food Service in Bowling Green, Ohio — reinforcing Kaina’s ability to lead industrial builds involving specialized processing lines, MEP integration, commissioning coordination, safety systems, and stakeholder management.

In 2025, Kaina expanded KainaCorp into Thailand to deliver Canadian-level design-build and construction project management standards in a rapidly growing industrial region (Rayong, Chonburi, Pattaya, and EEC zones). His leadership is focused on structured execution, schedule discipline, lean planning, strict cost control, and transparent client communication — ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with dependable quality. His motto and execution philosophy remain simple and consistent: “Your vision, our expertise.”

Outside of work, Kaina is highly growth-driven and values learning, networking, continuous self-improvement, and disciplined personal performance. He enjoys golf, kayaking, travel, business strategy discussions, and building scalable systems that empower teams to operate at a world-class standard.

SUKUNYA PHROMSUK
Founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Ying Ao Sauce & Grill & Ying Ao Mookrata
Co-Founder & CEO –KainaCorp Design-Build (Thailand) Division

Sukunya Phromsuk is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Ying Ao Sauce & Grill and Ying Ao Mookrata, and also Co-Founder & CEO of KainaCorp Thailand Division. She is a highly disciplined executive leader known for operational excellence, people leadership, and scalable execution — bringing corporate-grade systems and structure into the hospitality and food production industries.

Before stepping fully into entrepreneurship, Sukunya spent more than a decade in senior manufacturing and operations leadership roles in Thailand, including long-term executive responsibility at Eagle Ottawa (Thailand). Her professional background is rooted in high-volume production operations, where performance is measured through efficiency, quality, safety, compliance, and team discipline. She has led large teams, optimized workflows, and implemented continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma principles — driving measurable gains in productivity, consistency, and cost control.

As the original founder behind the Ying Ao brand, Sukunya grew the business from its early foundation into a multi-location restaurant group with a clear brand identity and strong customer loyalty. Under her leadership, Ying Ao Mookrata expanded into 5 locations, while simultaneously developing the next stage: a centralized production facility that supports standardization, quality control, supply stability, and future retail/wholesale scaling.

Her strengths include operational structuring, training systems, SOP development, staff performance management, hygiene standards, vendor control, and ensuring that customer experience remains consistent across every location. She leads with high standards while maintaining the warmth and hospitality that customers associate with authentic Thai dining. Sukunya’s ability to balance people leadership and strict operational discipline is a major reason the brand has maintained quality through rapid growth.

Outside of work, Sukunya is family-focused and strongly connected to Thai food culture and community. She believes that great food is not only about taste — but also cleanliness, discipline, service, and creating a place where customers feel cared for and proud to return.

THISTAYA THAMAPHATTARANATE (KAI)
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
All Group Companies KainaCorp Design-Build (Thailand), Ying Ao Mookrata & Ying Ao Sauce & Grill)

Thistaya Maekai Thamaphattaranate (Kai) is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) across all group companies, overseeing financial strategy and governance for KainaCorp Design-Build, Ying Ao Sauce & Grill, and Ying Ao Mookrata. She is a seasoned finance professional with a strong multi-discipline background spanning accounting, financial planning, investment advisory, and insurance/financial risk management.

Kai’s role is far beyond bookkeeping — she functions as the financial strategist and control center for a multi-business group operating across construction, hospitality, and manufacturing. She leads budgeting, forecasting, cash flow structuring, internal controls, financial reporting, and compliance, while supporting executive decision-making with data-driven analysis. Her leadership ensures each company can scale with financial discipline, protected margins, and clear accountability.

She is known internally for her accuracy, reliability, confidentiality, and ability to bring order and clarity to fast-moving business environments. Kai has been involved closely with ownership since early stages of company growth and is considered one of the closest trusted executives to the owners — helping build stable financial foundations, improving cost control systems, and supporting strategic expansion.

Outside of work, she is passionate about financial literacy, investment strategy, and helping teams and entrepreneurs understand how money flows through a business — not just to track it, but to control it.

PANUNG
Logistics, Receiving & Documentation Lead (Goods Control)

Panung is the Logistics, Receiving & Documentation Lead — responsible for one of the most critical control points in the entire group: receiving and verifying goods, documenting condition and quantities, and ensuring every item is tracked properly from arrival to final destination. In fast-scaling businesses, a huge amount of money is lost through missing items, unclear records, supplier disputes, and “nobody knows what arrived” situations — Panung’s role prevents that. Panung is the person who makes sure shipments, deliveries, and internal transfers are handled with discipline, evidence, and clean records.

Panung’s day-to-day responsibilities include receiving deliveries at HQ and sites, checking packing lists against actual quantities, identifying shortages or damage immediately, taking clear photo evidence, labeling and organizing items by destination (restaurant vs factory vs office), and maintaining a traceable documentation trail that leadership can rely on. This is especially important during large container unloads and multi-site distribution — where Panung ensures items are sorted correctly, counted properly, and handed over with accountability.

Panung is highly detail-oriented and structured. Strengths include strong documentation habits, accuracy under pressure, inventory and warehouse organization, and the ability to coordinate with drivers, restaurant managers, and site teams so deliveries do not become chaotic. Panung also supports purchase follow-up by providing clear receiving confirmations, which helps accounting and procurement close loops (what was ordered vs what arrived vs what is missing). The result is tighter control, fewer disputes, and faster resolution when something is wrong — because Panung always has the evidence and the facts.

Outside of work, Panung is known for being calm, reliable, and focused. Panung is the kind of person who prefers doing things the right way — organized, labeled, and properly documented — and that personality is exactly what makes Panung so valuable in logistics and receiving control.

ANUWATKAEWAT(JOJO)
Operations & Logistics Coordinator

Anuwat (Jojo) is a key operations and logistics coordinator supporting the day-to-day execution across KainaCorp Design-Build (Thailand) headquarters as well as site operations. Jojo is the type of team member who keeps the engine running behind the scenes—coordinating the movement of goods, supporting construction site needs, and ensuring that urgent tasks are handled quickly, correctly, and with full accountability.

In a multi-location business, consistency comes from systems—but speed comes from people who can execute, communicate clearly, and solve problems in real time. Jojo brings that execution mindset.

Jojo’s experience is rooted in operational coordination: managing task lists, following up with teams, aligning priorities between construction sites and HQ, and supporting procurement and delivery schedules. Jojo is trusted for being dependable under pressure—the person you can assign a complex, time-sensitive job to and know it will be completed with updates, proof, and closure.

This includes supporting vendor coordination, tracking deliveries, assisting with inventory movement, and helping restaurant teams close operational gaps quickly (repairs, replacement items, urgent supplies, and on-site troubleshooting support).

Strengths and skill set include strong organization and follow-through, fast communication across Thai/English environments (as applicable), vendor and driver coordination, basic construction material inventory tracking discipline, and an “ownership” mentality—meaning Jojo doesn’t just report problems; Jojo actively pushes to solve them.

Jojo supports the leadership team by reducing execution load, keeping details from slipping, and creating operational stability across multiple moving parts.

Her addition to KainaCorp strengthens our growing Thailand engineering and project-delivery team by adding dedicated technical support at one of the most important points in the Design-Build process: turning an opportunity into a properly evaluated, coordinated, priced, and executable project.

With a detail-oriented approach, strong willingness to learn, and a foundation in both engineering and construction operations, Min contributes to KainaCorp’s commitment to delivering projects with disciplined planning, accurate information, responsive communication, cost awareness, and consistent project coordination.
